Call for Reviews Editor for New Political Science

New Political Science is the official journal of the New Political Science Organized Section of the American Political Science Association, and serves as an organ for its goals and interests.The Reviews Editor works closely with the Journal Editor in preparing reviews by deadline.  This position is held for a three-year, term to begin September 2008.  Duties include: 

  • Establish contacts with publishers to receive catalogs and publications
  • Identify titles of interest to NPS members and readers
  • Actively seek reviewers, and respond to volunteer reviewers
  • Commission reviews, and follow up to help ensure timely submission
  • Contact publishers to send review copies to reviewers
  • Edit submissions for content and style
  • Submit sufficient copy on deadline
  • Edit proofs when they are ready
  • Work actively with the NPS Journal Editor to ensure timely publication of a quality journal
  • Attend annual NPS Publications Executive Committee and Editorial Board meetings, held during the annual APSA conference.
