2007 Annual Meeting Workshop for Department Chairs

The 2007 Annual Meeting Workshop for Chairs addressed the theme of "Development at the Departmental Level," focusing on the unique challenges faced by department chairs when seeking to raise funds from alumni, secure gifts, work with their development office, or enhance engagement with the broader community.

The 2-hour session was moderated by Steven Majeski (University of Washington and chair, APSA Departmental Services Committee) and featured presentations by:

Alice J. Barda, Senior Director, Major Gifts at Northwestern University
Kate Forhan, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Northeastern Illinois University.
