Recognizing Excellence in the Profession

Recognizing excellence in the profession is one of the most important activities of the American Political Science Association. In an effort to bring attention to exceptional scholarship, the Association has established a number of awards covering such areas as dissertations, papers and articles, books and career achievement. Through the years these awards have played an important role in the scholarship and careers of their recipients.

2007 AWARDS

2007 Awards: APSA Recognizes Scholarly Achievement at Annual Meeting in Chicago

At the 103rd Annual Meeting in Chicago, APSA presented 22 awards recognizing outstanding dissertations, books, papers, articles, and careers. Among the highlights, Paula D. McClain, Lee Sigelman, and Frank Scioli received the 2007 Frank J. Goodnow Award for their significant contributions to the political science profession and the American Political Science Association. Read more.
