Dissertation Awards
Printer-friendly format

Dissertations eligible are those completed and accepted during the past two calendar years. Department submissions should be sent to each member of the award committee and include a letter of nomination and a copy of the dissertation. Departments must submit their nominations by January 15 of each year.

Nominating Information

Departments are requested to submit a letter of nomination and one copy of the dissertation nominated to each award committee member. A copy of the nomination letter must also be sent to the APSA Award Coordinator, to the Washington, D.C. address shown at the bottom of this page, and/or to awards@apsanet.org. The title of the dissertation and the name of the dissertation chair must be included in the letter of nomination. Dissertations must be bound in some fashion; please do not send loose leaf dissertations.

The deadline for 2008 nominations has passed, with the exception of the Almond Award.  The Almond Award Committee is accepting nominations until January 31.
