At the APSA Annual Meeting you'll have many opportunities to connect with colleagues and network with others in your field, hear about new ideas and trends, and learn more about the discipline.

Here we've collected some helpful information for first-time and veteran meeting attendees.

Pre-Conference Arrangements

Registration: To save time and money, preregister prior to arriving at the conference. For registration details, see the registration page.

Hotels & Travel: To book the most convenient lodging at the best rates, use the APSA booking agency Experient.  Please do not book your hotel room by calling the hotel directly or you will not be given the reduced  participant rate.  Learn more about housing and travel at the housing page

Conference Planning

Planning ahead helps orient you to the possibilities.  The conference sponsors pre-conference short courses; panels, roundtables, and poster sessions on a wide variety of topics; plenary sessions with noteworthy speakers and participants; business meetings; school, business, and institutional receptions; and an exhibit hall showcasing publications, journals, and software for political scientists.

Conference Program: A Preliminary Program is published with the July issue of PS: Political Science & Politics.  However, you should note that the most up-to-date program details will be published in the online program.

Professional Day -  Short Courses:  On the Wednesday before the conference, APSA sponsors a variety of full- and half-day short courses in topics of interest to both faculty and graduate students.  Access the full descripton of each of these at Short Courses.

Poster Sessions: Poster sessions are a great way to find out what others are doing and discuss topics of interest to you directly with them.  Check the details of the poster sessions in the online program.

Exhibits: The exhibition halls will feature over 150 publishers and other vendors showcasing their latest and best publications, journals, and software.  Find out more at The Exhibit Hall.
