APSA 2010
Miki Caul Kittilson (Miki.Kittilson@asu.edu) and Richard Herrera (Richard.Herrera@asu.edu), both from Arizona State University will organized the POP panels for the 2010 APSA meetings. Please consider submitting a proposal for a paper or a panel to POP if it involves political organizations and/or political parties. And support POP by attending section panels at the APSA.

POP Membership Meeting at APSA 2009
Congratulations to Paul Herrnson (U. Maryland) who was elected as head of POP for a 2009-2011 term, and four new council members: Christopher Anderson (Cornell), Ron John Hrebenar (Utah), Marie Hojnacki (Penn State), and Christina Woldbrecht (Notre Dame). Party Politics
Beginning in March 2009, Party Politics is the official journal of the POP section. Membership in the POP section now includes a subscription to the journal.

POP Membership Meeting APSA 2007
New section officers were elected at the 2007 APSA meeting. Russell Dalton (UC Irvine) is the new president, and new members of the executive committee include Maryann Barakso (American University), Miki Caul Kittilson (Arizona State University), Geoffrey Layman (University of Maryland), and Michael Laver (New York University). The section also gave its annual research awards. Russell Dalton outlines the goals of the section in the coming year.

Epstein Conference: Politics through the Lens of Parties
In April 2007 the Department of Political Science, University of Wisconsin, Madison held a conference on political parties to honor Leon Epstein and his career. Copies of the papers are available online.
