The APSA Committee on the Status of Community Colleges in the Profession works to create an inclusive culture for community college faculty within the profession, increase community college faculty membership, build relationships across higher education institutions, and recommend programming to address the unique needs of community college faculty.

Launched Fall 2025, the Friday Faculty Hour session provides a forum to connect with other political science community college instructors across the U.S. Join us to learn more about the committee’s previous initiatives and current programs, access community college-specific resources and career development materials, sign up for their newsletter, and learn about future virtual workshops.
