Supporting Political Scientists: Resources for APSA Members in Times of Political and Institutional Upheaval

Supporting Political Scientists

As the higher education landscape, funding, and policy changes present challenges to APSA members in the United States and around the world, APSA continues to provide resources and support for its members.  The resources below include ways to access career resources, forms of member assistance, information on APSA meetings and conferences, and resources on academic freedom.

Accessing eJobs for Non-Members
As a non-member, individuals have limited access to eJobs. Once logged in to their APSA account non-APSA members can access eJobs as follows:

  • Once on the Job Bank Menu select “I wish to get limited access to the Job Bank for FREE”
  • Navigate to your User Home Profile by clicking your name in the upper right corner of the page
  • Once on your User Home Profile select “Access eJobs”, located on the right-hand side under “APSA Resources”

Monthly eJobs PDF
The monthly APSA eJobs PDF compiles all listings that are currently posted to eJobs. The PDF is organized by subfield and contains the complete job description as it was entered into eJobs. This resource is accessible to the public.

Trial Membership Program: During these challenging times, APSA has created a complimentary 90-day membership option to provide prospective members, including graduate students, and political science job seekers access to APSA’s professional development and career resources.

Department Sponsored Student Membership: APSA Member Departments gain the ability to sponsor their current students through the Department Sponsored Student Membership Program. Through this program the cost of an APSA student membership is shared equally between APSA and the member department. Reach out to your department today to see if you are eligible for this program.

Rapid Response Bridge Funding Program: In collaboration with The Kapor Foundation, The William T. Grant Foundation, and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Spencer Foundation has developed a rapid response bridge grant opportunity for impacted scholars whose grants have recently been cancelled by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The grant application deadline is June 13, 2025. Apply Here | Download PDF
