Why Political Science Matters:
Resources for APSA Members in Times of Political and Institutional Upheaval
APRIL 2025 — In response to the evolving federal and state policy environment, the dismantling of federal institutions and agencies, restrictions on federal funding, and other challenges to higher education and democracy, APSA will continue providing resources and support for its members, including faculty, students, scholars, and practitioners within the political science community.
This resource collection includes information on APSA advocacy efforts and opportunities for member advocacy, resources for APSA members who face obstacles to engaging in their work, and a collection of scholarship and pedagogical resources on democracy and democratic backsliding. These resources, while collected in response to the current political and policy environment in the United States, include resources for APSA members around the world. We will regularly update this page with additional resources. To submit a contribution, please complete this form. If you have any questions about this page, contact teaching@apsanet.org.
