Civic Education
The civic education programs at the U.S. Department of Education, which includes the American History and Civics Academies grant program and the National Activities grant program, support opportunities for K-12 teachers and students to develop greater understanding of American history, civics, and government education.
APSA is a member of the CivXNow Coalition coordinated by iCivics, an advocacy organization dedicated to supporting federal funding for civic education programs at the Department of Education through the Congressional appropriations process and periodically advocating for state level funding and legislation related to civic education.
