Nationalism and Politics (Section 56)

The Nationalism and Politics Section creates an institutionalized space that fosters a community of political science scholars, researchers, and instructors interested in studying nationalism, which can dialogue with other existing communities represented at APSA. The section addresses the geographical and disciplinary segmentation of the study of nationalism and the consequent lack of a coherent conversation. Section 56 sponsors panels exploring topics related to the politics of nationalism. The section recognizes quality scholarship related to nationalism with awards and mentors younger scholars working on the politics of nationalism.
