2026 APSA Annual Meeting Grant Opportunities
The STEP APSA Inclusion Travel Award (2026)
The STEP APSA Inclusion Travel Award will be granted to graduate students who are accepted to present a paper at the annual APSA meeting. They must be members of STEP (which is free for graduate students) and be presenting on a STEP or STEP co-sponsored panel. A maximum of 10 awards in the amount of $500 will be granted each year.
Deadline for nominations: April 15, 2026

APSA Status Committee on the Disability in the Profession — Working Group & Travel Grant Opportunity
The APSA Status Committee on Disability in the Profession is holding a Working Group on “Reimagining Accessibility within the Discipline” at the 2026 Annual Meeting. The Working Group, comprised of 20 scholars including at least 6 early-career scholars, will meet during the course of the 2026 APSA Annual Meeting in Boston, MA (exact days and times TBD; more information late Spring 2026.) Each session will be 90 minutes long and include discussions on accessibility in the discipline, disclosure, requesting accommodations, self-advocacy, and more.
If you are interested in participating in the working group onsite in Boston, please fill out the application. There will be six $1,000 travel grants awarded to early career scholars to attend the Annual Meeting and participate in the working group. If you are interested in being considered for the travel grant, please fill out the appropriate section on the application.

APSA Committee on the Status of LGBT Individuals Travel Grants
The 2026 application cycle for the APSA Committee on the Status of LGBT Individuals Travel Grants opens on May 1, 2026 and closes June 28, 2026.
The Committee will support travel grants in support of APSA Annual Meeting conference participation. Travel grants will be provided to individuals attending the Annual Meeting. Grants will not exceed $300 per awardee. Priority will be given to applicants with accepted poster and paper presentations, or individuals attending APSA to engage in service on LGBT-related committees/sections. Individuals participating in the Annual Meeting as chairs and discussants are still eligible to apply.
