McGillivray Best Paper Award

Best paper in political economy presented at the previous year’s APSA Annual Meeting. Nominations are welcome from any member (chair, discussant, paper presenters, attendees) of the political economy panels at the APSA meeting. Self-nominations are encouraged. Nominations should be directed to all three members of the award committee.

Best published article in political economy in a peer-reviewed journal. All articles published in the previous two calendar years (as indicated by online publication date or print publication date) are eligible for consideration, with a preference given to articles that exemplify themes or methods for which Michael Wallerstein was known and respected. All members of the section are eligible to make nominations. Nominations should be directed to all members of the award committee.

Frances McCall Rosenbluth Junior Political Economy Mentorship Program Fellowship

Named for Frances McCall Rosenbluth, the mentoring program pairs selected junior scholars with senior political economy scholars for a one-year mentoring relationship focused on both a specific research paper and broader professional development. The fellowship is open to tenure-track, non-tenure track faculty, post-docs, and advanced ABD candidates nearing completion of their Ph.D. The program especially encourages applications from scholars who are underrepresented in political economy. Call for Applications will be announced to all members of the section in the spring.
