Ensure
a vibrant future for political scientists by including a gift to APSA in your
estate plan. Anyone
can make a gift and
there is no minimum amount.
The
most common gifts from donors to APSA are:
A bequest in a will or trust
Feel free to adapt our suggested language with your attorney:
“I give _____% of my estate (or $_____ ) to American Political
Science Association, Tax ID 53-0200001.”
We are happy to work with you and your attorney if you are
considering a bequest for a specific purpose. If you already have a will and
want to make a gift, a simple codicil can be added.
Prewritten language is available here.
Naming APSA as a beneficiary
You can also designate APSA as a beneficiary of your:
- Retirement accounts
-
Life Insurance Policy
- Bank and Investment accounts
- Donor Advised Funds
Simply request a beneficiary designation form from your bank or
plan administrator and write in “American Political Science Association” as the
beneficiary.
